We are a family-run business situated just outside the village of Ballingarry in North Tipperary. Following years of planning, getting advice from expert mountain bikers and working alongside top professional trail builders, our farm Fairymount Farm proudly opened as Bike Park Ireland in May 2014.
Bike Park Ireland is a place to come and unwind, lose yourself for a while and just have lots of fun on your bike with friends or family. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced pro, you’ll have such a fantastic experience.
If you don’t cycle, you can head off on one of our beautiful walks on the farm, followed by some relaxation time in the Mucky Boot Cafe. We understand how valuable your time is and we’re here to make sure you have an excellent day out – the fact that we love what we do makes our job easy!
Our trails have been carefully designed and built with the ethos of working sustainably with the environment always a high priority. All the trails descend through Knockshegowna Hill ‘Hill of the Fairies’ which is steeped in folklore and history.
Standing tall at the top is an illuminated cross that lights up the countryside and can be seen from many areas during winter nights. This cross was erected in 1949 to celebrate the arrival of electricity in this part of Ireland! Lough Nahinch Lake lies at the far end of the farm which is surrounded by 3 archaeological sites – a Ring Fort, Crannog and Fulachta Fiadh.
Our farm business was horse breeding and sheep farming and we’ve even converted 6 of the horse stables into our new showers and changing rooms, keeping the character of the farm. We have All Ireland Award Winning Forestry which you can see for acres around the Bike Park, making it a truly beautiful place to visit.
We are very proud of what we have achieved with Bike Park Ireland to date. We have big plans for the future of the Bike Park and we can’t wait to welcome you here!
