Molly’s Bar & Restaurant

Molly’s has a wealth of history behind it. Built in the early 19th Century it was once an RIC station. It became a hotel during the troubles and during the 20s sheltered IRA.

After the 20s it became a pub and was known as O’Donovan’s for many years. When it changed hands in the 1990s it was named Molly’s because of the song, “My Own Irish Molly.”

The local train station used to be a stone’s throw away. Molly’s has been a focal point for the region for over 200 years and that tradition continues today.

Molly’s Bar & Restaurant has had an refurbishment in recent years and extensions in the basement and on the the top-floor and roof. The premises now incorporates a Sports Bar, Restaurant, Nightclub and Function Room & Balcony.

At Molly’s we are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable drinking experience for all our patrons. We understand the advantages of having a taxi service you can rely on to take you home especially in the light of the changes to the Irish drinking laws. We recommend the following number. You can contact them beforehand or ask your waitress to arrange a ride home for you at your convenience.
