Costello Church was built in 1879 and was truly a labour of love. When Mary Costello died, her husband Edward had her body embalmed and set about building this remarkable little church to honour her. Two years later it was complete and her body was finally laid to rest. Mass was then said on the first Friday of every month until Edwards death twelve years later. The chapel is one of the smallest in the world and is a must-see for all visitors to the area.
