Acres See liegt in der Nähe der Stadt Drumshanbo und ermöglicht gutes Brassen angeln und die Chance eine Schleie von über 5lb (2,3kg) zu fangen.
Der See war schon immer ein beliebtes Angelrevier und am linken Ufer befinden sich heute noch alte Angler Stege.

“The secret here is not to fish too far out!
The water is deep off the main floating platform and I’d suggest three fishing options, a 12 metre pole, at least a 2SSG slider if you want to float fish or an underhand lob for feeder fishing, because if you start whacking a swim feeder great distances, you might not catching anything at all.
Large fish are likely, so think about tackling up with at least 3lb main line and start on a 14s hook with bigger baits such as four maggots, worm, corn and worm, or similar combinations.
Because of its easy access this is a good choice of early morning or evening fishing and do bear in mind that during the summer months there could be boats looking for somewhere to tie up.”
