Belturbet is a very popular angling location and over the past number of years the Trout Anglers’ Club have carried out extensive maintenance to the three-quarter mile stretch of river in upstream from Kilconny Bridge. It is only fly fishing here and the stretch has great stock of trout. Other good locations in the area include Cornadara, Pogue’s Ford and Baker’s Bridge. These are all upstream from Belturbet.
